Bio
My name is Darrell Gow. I a singer / song writer and have been involved in writing, producting and performing Christian music for over 30 years. I play Piano / Keyboards, Guitar & Bass but, I do most of my writing on piano.
I started playing guitar in 1974, piano in 1975 and then around 1977 I took up the bass and joined a little 4 piece band with some friends of mine, playing songs from Jackson Brown, Loggins & Messina and James Taylor.
In September 1979, after trying to write and perform Christian music for 2 or 3 years and not really knowing what I was doing, I gave my life to Christ and my entire reason for playing changed. It no longer was about the music, me or what I was writing. It was about giving into God's will and letting Him use me to reach whomever He thought needed to hear what He was saying through me. What a difference it made in what I was doing... with regards to music.
I had grown up in Church all my life but was never taught that Church isn't what saves you. It wasn't until that September, 1979 that a friend forced me to think about where I was going to spend eternity... with God or apart from Him. Those were and still are the only 2 choices. I chose God and though times have not always been great, He has always been there for me... 100 % of the time and He will continue to be with me until I see Him in Heaven where I will spend eternity with God.
My home Church is First Baptist Church in Wichita Falls, TX where I am a member. I enjoy the contempoary worship servie and love listening to Pastor Bob McCartney, and what God is saying through him each week.
I am also involved in ministry part time at Lamar Baptist Church in Wichita Falls, TX where I am praying the Lord will use me in whatever way he chooses.
